Blake Weibert: #NashvilleSingerSongwriterFriends: Blake Weibert: Nashville singer tells us 5 more things about himself
When we write about some of the singer/songwriters we know from our Facebook page, we like to be able to include some that we have met in person, and Blake Weibert is one of those. He hones his craft and plays and sings locally in Nashville as well as in the area where he resides, around Tullahome and Manchester, Tennessee.
Earlier we wrote an article about 'Blake Weibert: 5things about this singer/songwriter' but we couldn't fit all the information on this young man into one space, so now we are finding out more about Blake as he tells us five more things about himself for this article.
The music is the inspiration for this young musician, and with
his talent, he has nowhere to go but up, and we can be a witness to it and help
him through the purchasing the latest release of a new CD, as we help him climb the ladder
of success in the world of music in Nashville .
We think you will enjoy the music of Blake Weibert and we
encourage you to check out his music and his new CD. Pre-sales of Blake's
new album were going on when this article was first published. This will also help fund the production and
promotion of this album. Expected release date is July 1st 2014. To buy go to

Q. Blake, this is one of the most interesting to some of our readers: Do you have a so-called 'bucket list' and if so, what do you want to do or accomplish?
A. My 'Bucket List' is very similar to my 'American Dream', but
it includes mountain biking and camping the Scottish Highlands (I'm 50%
Scottish, as Mum was born there), ski the Alps, plus spend a large bit of time
in South America. The list goes on..........
Zoom in
Q. I see you have a new CD in the works, tell us about it and
also, how your fans can get a copy?
A. My new CD is to be released sometime in July, with the
CD release party to be somewhere in Nashville
shortly thereafter. Nancy, I have been BLESSED with my producer, Tommy
Wiggins, Guitarist Larry Haack, Drums/percussion Matt North (teacher to the
pros and everybody in between), Engineer Dave Towne, Bassist Mark Golden (The
Sixes), Keyboard, Organ, Accordion Billy Livsey(Tina Turner, The Doobie
Brothers, Travis Tritt, Conway Twitty, Rodney Crowell, Don Williams, Dolly
Parton, Michael McDonald, and so much more, OMG!), George Marenelli (Bonnie
Raitt, founding member of Bruce Hornsby and the Range). I have a pitch
linked to my facebook on Indiegogo.com.
in
Q. Blake, where can we see you in performances in the near future?
A. Nancy, I have some gigs scheduled for Hampshire, TN on May
10, also, July, and September at Keg Springs Winery, London's in Tullahoma on
Saturday May 31st, and many more others, but right now, I'm focusing on this
album and the promotion thereof.
Zoom in
Q. What is the funniest or oddest thing that ever happened to you onstage or any one incident that is memorable to you in particular?
A. I had a chair thrown at me for putting a heckler in his
proper place in Memphis in 1997 when I was onstage, but I had a great support
system there and they promptly took him down and barred him from The Daily
Planet, where I met Todd Snider, and took over his Thursday night gig when he
moved to Nashvegas. All of the other stories are not fit to print.
in
Q. Is there anything else you want to add in to today's conversation, Blake? And please let us know where you can find you on the web?
A. . Yes, I just wanted to add that I am grateful for the
things that have been happening to me lately. As a result, it has woken
me up to a more positive life, filled with gratitude and love, power of
perception, coupled with pragmatic action, and a deep appreciation to those who
are "do gooders." Life is as beautiful as you make it, and it's
so beautiful, that it's almost overwhelming. My fiancé, Olivia, has been
downright dreamsicle in helping me with everything. And yes, I do have
spirituality. Thank you, Big G! I can be found on ReverbNation, Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter, and even MySpace, I think, lol!
Blake Weibert: 5 things about this Nashville singer/songwriter #NashvilleSingerSongwriterFriends:
We like to write about some of our many Nashville Singer/Songwriter friends and one of those is the subject of this article and is shown in the above photo, 2nd from right, black shirt.
When we first met musician Blake Weibert it was at one of the Nashville TV show tapings which we attended during season 2 of the show, which is filmed in Nashville. As we all sat at the same table, waiting our turn to appear in one of the show scenes, we became acquainted with Blake Weibert and all of the others who sat at our table, during the breaks from the taping of the show.
With Blake Weibert being a singer and songwriter, we met on
common ground, as many of the folks around Nashville
who go to be 'Extras' in the Nashville TV show are musicians, singers or
songwriters.
Since meeting Blake, we became friends on Facebook and we keep
up with his career through his postings on his personal Facebook page and on
his 'Blake Weibert
Music Page'.
Blake was gracious enough to answer some of our questions for
this and one more article about his music career and what his hopes are
for his own American dream in the music business.
Q. Blake, tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from originally?
A. Nancy, I was born in West Palm Beach , FL and moved to Manchester ,
TN at age 7. Left
Manchester at 18 to attend Memphis
State University
to major in Music.
Zoom in
Q. When did you become interested in a career in music and singing?
A. I knew music was my thing at age 13, when I took an interest
in drums, got kicked out of beginning band, and then "got" a drum
set, played in hard rock, alternative, and then Blues bands, while learning
many different styles of drumming. I started singing at the age of 22,
after deciding to rebel from classical guitar and get away from hauling around
a drum set.
Zoom in
Q. What singer(s) or band (or person) was your biggest influence in your early years? And what singer would you say you sound most like?
A. At first, 'Hard Rock' bands like Rush, AC/DC, Metallica,
Slayer, Triumph, Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly, Triumph, The Police, Iron Maiden,
and whatever else I may be forgetting. When it came to singing, it was Howlin'
Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Bobby Blue Bland, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Bukka White, but
John Hammond inspired me to do the one man Blues thing. As to who I may
sound like? It's hard for me to put a label on that. You tell me.
Q. What about family? Any of them sing, too, or in the music business?
A. My niece, Emma, an accomplished clarinetist, has her
choice of free rides to (insert university of your choice here), and her
fraternal twin, Anna, who is an amazing singer, is also a genius level
mathematician, who will be attending the University of the South on full gift.
oom in
Q. What is your own American dream?
A. My 'American Dream' is to experience ALL of America , and
travel the world over, experiencing the natural beauty of this planet, its'
people, and the cuisines. Yeah, I'm a foodie, Can't ya tell?

Alyssa Jacey: #NashvilleSingerSongwriterFriends: Alyssa Jacey: Nashville singer answers 6 questions on her music and career
With this young and talented Nashville singer and songwriter, we could write more than one article, and we will do that. Keep watch for the next and following articles as we watch her career blossom in the music and songwriting town.
We have met many nice and inspiring singer/songwriters in Nashville through their Facebook web pages, and one of the most inspiring is Alyssa Jacey. As we are going back and forth with many of the aspiring singers in town and we are keeping up with Alyssa Jacey's postings about her music career, then we are sometimes able to share about her performances and appearances with our other friends.
One of Alyssa's recent postings included this message:
This month is going to be out of this world. I feel like I'm starting a new song every other couple days, all with different ideas than the norm. Using chords I don't usually use. Singing melodies that are catchier (in my opinion) than ever! I've got a bunch of fun shows this month (always check www.AlyssaJacey.com for the schedule) PLUS I get to go home on the 14th! AHHHH! Family! I get to meet my nephew! Moms birthday! Mother's Day!We will be putting together another article on this young singer, so watch for it, please. You can follow Alyssa Jacey on her Facebook page or one of the methods of contact listed below:
My album 'Destined.' releases the day before that! Just SO MUCH AWESOMENESS! If you have time on the 6th, I'm still trying to raise money to fund the release. Buy a $3 ticket here https://www.stageit.com/alyssa_jacey/blue_room_concert_series/34619

Read more about this young singer at: Alyssa Jacey: Nashville singer/songwriter/mentor answers 5 more Q&A
A. I'm a born and raised San Diegan, moved to Nashville on January 10th, 2012. I had been to Nashville on tour one to two times a year, the previous four years, and every time I came, some magnetic force kept drawing me in. I would make incredible new fans. I would meet such amazing people. Everyone seemed to encourage me to make the move, when I would hear those same people telling other artists the opposite. I was here on tour and recording a new album for six weeks over the fall of 2011, and I ended up just leaving my car here (which I had driven across the U.S. performing in every state along the way), came home for eight weeks while I packed my condo, sold it, broke up with my boyfriend, said goodbye to my family, and made the permanent move.
Q. What would you say is your own 'American Dream'?
A. To inspire people. To help people discover their own vision and dream, and to live every day being thankful that we are even able to have the freedom to do so.
Q. Alyssa, tell us, how are you different from other artists?
A. I don't think I write hit songs, like so many other artists I admire, but I think I write relatable, emotionally driven ones. I think my voice sounds unique, and if you were to have your eyes closed and heard an Alyssa Jacey song, you know it's mine.
Q. Who inspired you when you were growing up?

Q. What drives you?
A. Being someone other artists can look to for hope, in making their dreams come true. I want to be known as a national inspiration! Being someone whose first show wasn't even until 2005, not having a clue about songwriting, guitar playing, singing, anything...now being able to say I do this for a living. I just think there's something to be said about what happens when you put your mind to something and stick with it.
Q. How does the internet help you?
A. I am certain I wouldn't have a (sustainable) career without it. It's how fans truly could first discover me and my music, and how I started booking shows.
Alyssa, thank you so much for your time, and we'll be checking back in with you as your music careers goes forward in Nashville and Music City, USA.

Alyssa Jacey: #NashvilleSingerSongwriterFriends: Alyssa Jacey answers 5 more questions on her music career
When we are checking in on many of our singer, songwriter friends in Nashville, we will usually try to keep up with what is happening, day-to-day, in their musical careers and endeavors. From appearing in one of the many local Nashville singer/songwriter rounds, to collaborating with others who are here in Nashville to earn a living through their songwriter skills, to appearing at some of the places to donate their musical talents to charitable efforts, there is a lot to say and a lot to write about our Nashville singer/songwriter friends. The name of singer songwriter Alyssa Jacey is well known in the Nashville area and other areas for her singing and her involvement in the music business. This article is one we were privileged to share with our readers a few weeks ago, and we are repeating it here to reach more of our readers on our new blog.
When we wrote about Nashville singer and songwriter, Alyssa Jacey, in another article Alyssa Jacey: Nashville singer answers 6 questions on her music and career. This time there are five more questions which this young and inspiring singer has answered for us.
We can envision Alyssa Jacey's dreams of a musical career success with no problems whatsoever, as she is not only a hard-worker, but she keeps her dreams and future hopes in sight, and she is determined to make all of her own 'American Dream' come true.
Alyssa said in a recent note to us:
I'm trying to raise money to pay for my 7th album that is going to be released this spring? The donation button is on my website right here: http://www.alyssajacey.com/albumdonations/Tuesday, May 6, Alyssa hosted a 'Stage-It' concert online and she posted this message on her Facebook page to let us know about it:
ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT TO SELL FOUR TICKETS! They're $3/each! For a FIFTY minute, ONLINE show you can watch from HOME! C'mon!Read further to gain some new insight and understanding of this young and talented singer:
https://www.stageit.com/alyssa_jacey/blue_room_concert_series/34619
Help me sell my fifth concert out in a row! Thank you in advance!
Q. Alyssa, where can we find you on the web or contact you?
A. Google me! haha (Seriously, though, that is the fastest way to find all the sites I'm on) www.AlyssaJacey.com, Reverbnation.com/AlyssaJacey, I'm on iTunes, Spotify, there's an Alyssa Jacey Radio Station on Pandora, Facebook.com/AlyssaJaceyMusic, Youtube.com/AlyssaJacey and /AlyssaJaceyMusic, Twitter, Instagram, you name it.
Q. Alyssa, what do you hope to accomplish and where do you want to be 10 years down the road?
A. 10 years from now I'll be in my 40's! That sounds crazy to me, but my 30's have been AWESOME, so bring it on! By 42, I certainly hope to have made a name for myself on the musical side of TV/Film and commercials. My #1 goal right now is to get placement for my music and I want that to be ongoing. My 2nd goal is to maintain my mentoring business and continue helping to guide other artists in their careers.

Q. What is your advice for others who are starting out along the same path?
A. Don't you ever give up. EVER. You follow your heart and that will always lead you where you need to be. Stay grounded and realistic. Understand you may second guess yourself along the way, but that's just being human. You and only you can determine what your life will be like, and as long as you keep your head up and stay positive, GREAT things will continue to happen.
Q. What about your personal life, family & such? Do any of them play or sing? (family background...)
A. My grandpa who died when I was three, played clarinet and saxophone. He was a dentist, but played those two instruments for fun. It's sad I never got a chance to really know him, but I have to assume I must have gotten some form of musical talents from him! My mom has sung along to the radio for fun my whole life and I can remember thinking when I was younger, "My mom has such a pretty voice!" I would harmonize with her, way before I even stepped into the realm of singing. When I look back, it baffles me that THAT was what I was doing and yet, I never pursued it until nearly two decades later.
Q. Alyssa, I understand that you've had prior press articles, so can you share them with us?
A. Yes, I do have a couple of press articles to list, thank you for asking!
