This month's show features world-renowned, virtuoso guitarist RICHARD SMITH. Opening the show will be a master of the guitar as well as the harmonica, Richard Smith's bandmate in Hot Club of Nashville, PAT BERGESON along with up-and-coming Chet Atkins-inspired, fingerstyle guitarist JONATHAN BROWN.

NASHVILLE NEW ACOUSTIC seeks to expose young talents of the acoustic guitar world alongside the mainstays and stars of acoustic guitar. In each monthly show, we will present a well-known, established artist in a headlining set of music interspersed with interview segments by legendary guitar journalist, Andy Ellis. Opening each show will be two undiscovered or under heard talents in solo sets. This show is a departure in that we have TWO established players for the price of one!

NASHVILLE, TN Last year, the popular Pre-Show for the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CAAS) Convention underwent some changes. Don’t worry, though. It's still on the Tuesday night before the CAAS Convention (this year it’s on Tuesday, July 8th) and there will still be a lineup of outstanding, world-class guitarists, some of which you’ve seen on past shows. So, all of the things that made it great in the past are still there. Now here’s the changes:

Artisan Guitars, who presented an outstanding show for seven great years, turned over the reins last year to us at The Guitar Show with Andy Ellis radio show. The Guitar Show has featured interviews with great guitarists from all over the world, including many of the CAAS performers and ALL of the CGP’s (except, unfortunately, Jerry Reed). We’re proud to have done the last interview with Paul Yandell before he passed and our Tribute to Chet Atkins show has gotten rave reviews (Go towww.theguitarshow.com/interview-chetatkinstribute.html to check it out online). In addition, we have tremendous experience in live show production. We promised to do Artisan Guitars proud in our execution of the annual show and I think we kept our promise with last year's show. The Guitar Show is hosted by world-renowned guitar journalist Andy Ellis (currently Senior Editor at Premier Guitar magazine) and is executive produced by John Haring of Random Music Group in Nashville. John has many years of experience in artist relations and presenting live shows.

We also changed the location. Like last year, this year’s show will be at 3rd and Lindsley, a popular music venue in downtown Nashville that will be much easier to get to than the previous venue in Franklin. 3rd and Lindsley holds approximately 400-500 people and has a full menu and bar service as well as a state-of-the-art stage and sound system and is a favorite for touring guitarists.

Unlike previous shows, this show will benefit The Inspire America Foundation’s “Keep the Music Alive” project providing musical instruments to underprivileged children so, you’ll not only get a great show, but your ticket price will go to a very good cause.

Juan and the guys will play an unplugged set and then share the stage with an all-star acoustic jam featuring a great line-up of world-class players from many genres. Lots of outstanding players who are either off the road from touring or are Nashville studio regulars always show up.
